Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States seeks a Sr Staff Software Engineer - Control Systems to design, validate and qualify engine control algorithms for military applications. Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years' experience related to Aircraft Engine Controls Systems and Software development.
This role requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
Experience with engine control knowledge, MATLAB/Simulink, and NPSS is desirable.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs.
Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors.
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and participate in program reviews.
May lead a junior team and mentor engineers; communicate effectively with stakeholders.
