Job summary

Cutera-Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to join our R&D Electrical Engineering team in Raleigh, NC. You will lead the design of power supplies, sensor interfaces, and analog/digital control circuits for next-generation medical devices, collaborating with Mechanical, Optical, Software, Clinical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in medical devices or lasers.
• Experience with complex capital equipment development from concept through production.
• Strong systems-level design, integration, debugging, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews with Mechanical, Optical, and Software teams.
• Own risk management and ensure regulatory compliance in designs.
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts; design verification and validation.
• Transfer products from development into production with Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Collaborate on system-level architecture with Systems, Mechanical, UI/UX, and Software teams.
