Job summary

Cutera-Inc seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the R&D Electrical Engineering team, advancing next-generation medical devices including laser, RF, and ultrasound systems in Raleigh, NC. You will design power supplies, sensor interfaces, and analog/digital circuits, guiding projects from concept to production with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive system integrity through reviews, and ensure compliance with medical device regulations while leveraging LTspice,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 15+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in medical devices.
• Experience designing electronics for commercial products from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Define system-level designs for next-generation medical devices.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews to ensure total system integrity.
• Mentor junior and staff engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Transfer products from development into production in collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality.
• Ensure electrical safety, EMC, and regulatory compliance across designs.
• Develop test plans for design verification and validation of electronic systems.
