About
Our investment is an early-stage BCI wearable tech startup employing an innovative mix of generative AI with patent-pending breakthroughs in hw/sw for SOTA electronic consumer devices. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own major portions of the electrical system from early architecture through production, working across compact, high-density, battery-powered products.
What you’ll do
- Lead electrical architecture and board-level design for mixed-signal hardware systems
- Own schematics, component selection, system partitioning, and design reviews
- Design high-density multi-layer PCBAs with controlled impedance and fine-pitch components
- Work across sensors, compute, connectivity, power, and battery systems
- Lead bring‑up, validation, debugging, and root‑cause analysis
- Support EVT, DVT, PVT, DFM/DFT, manufacturing partners, and production ramp
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years in electrical or hardware engineering
- Experience shipping consumer electronics, ideally compact, wearable, or battery‑powered products
- Strong PCB design experience, including HDI, BGAs, SI/PI, and high‑speed interfaces
- Solid analog, mixed‑signal, power architecture, and DC‑DC converter experience
- Hands‑on lab validation experience with scopes, logic analyzers, probes, and related tools
- Startup‑ready ownership style and comfort working across the full hardware stack
Nice to have
- Wearables or body‑worn device experience
- Altium or similar PCB tool experience
- Manufacturing test, automation, Python, embedded firmware, EMI/EMC, or thermal experience
SF Bay Area preferred. Senior IC role at an early‑stage company building a category‑defining hardware product.
