Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Geometric Computer Vision, for Google Beam, with Seattle, Mountain View, and other locations. The role emphasizes in-person interviews and advanced CV expertise, leadership, and collaboration across hardware and ML teams.

You will design, implement, test, and deploy state-of-the-art geometric reconstruction pipelines, balancing performance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/CV/Robotics.
• 8 years of software development with C++, multithreading and optimization.
• 7 years leading technical strategy/architecture for 3D tracking or multi-view geometry.
• 5 years of Geometric CV, video generation or signal processing.
• 5 years of design, architecture, testing or launching software products.

Responsibilities

• Write high-performance C++ software for real-time 3D perception and calibration.
• Architect multi-camera calibration and non-linear spatial optimization pipelines.
• Conduct code/design reviews across tracking and calibration teams.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems to calibrate multi-camera arrays.
• Define interfaces between learned and geometric reconstruction modules with ML/hardware teams.
