Job summary

Google is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Geo team in Mountain View to lead ML/Computer Vision efforts for a pioneering 3D immersive navigation experience. You will steer large-scale ML projects, coordinate across product, UX, and engineering, and guide the team to deliver precise geospatial data at scale.

You will mentor engineers, set priorities, and shape system architecture while aligning with company strategy and multi-site deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 5 years in a technical leadership role; 3 years in people management.
• 5 years leading ML design and ML infrastructure optimization.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of converting imagery and sensor data into precise geometries for Geo navigation products.
• Set and communicate team priorities aligned with broader goals across teams and locations.
• Set expectations with individuals based on level and role; provide performance feedback and coaching.
• Develop long-term technical roadmap to meet future infrastructure needs.
• Design, review, and guide system designs; contribute code and ensure best practices.
