Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Sr. Staff Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You will focus on AWS, IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, and establish best practices across CI/CD, security, and observability.

Based in San Jose, CA, you will mentor engineers and drive reliability across critical systems. You will partner with security, compliance, and engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-optimized platforms while shaping Bloom

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/IS/Engineering; master's preferred.
• 10+ years in cloud/infrastructure/DevOps roles.
• 3+ years in senior/lead roles.
• Hands-on AWS, security, resiliency, and production ops.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments desirable.
• Proven production environments for enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate scalable cloud/hybrid infra for enterprise apps and AI/data platforms.
• Lead IaC adoption with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Develop standards and reusable infra modules.
• Build observability with metrics, logs, dashboards, alerts.
• Drive SRE practices: SLIs, incident management, capacity planning.
• Lead readiness reviews and post-incident analyses.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and security controls in workflows.
• Collaborate with security/compliance teams on governance.
