Job summary

Bloom Energy seeks a Sr. Staff Cloud Engineer in San Jose, CA to design, build, and operate scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure for enterprise apps, AI data platforms, and modern DevOps ecosystems.

You will champion Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and CloudFormation, advance observability and SRE practices, and collaborate across Security, Compliance, and Engineering to deliver reliable, cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in cloud/infrastructure/DevOps with leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS and multi-cloud expertise; deep security and ops know-how.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure for enterprise apps and AI data platforms.
• Architect highly available, secure, cost-optimized solutions centric to AWS.
• Lead IaC adoption with Terraform and CloudFormation; develop reusable patterns.
• Build observability, incident response, and reliability improvements via SRE practices.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and security controls across deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.
