Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCareer Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior/Staff Backend Engineer (Golang / Rust) - this is a fully remote role and candidates need to be based in N/S America or Europe

We are building the foundational infrastructure for the next era of decentralized finance, helping protocols and validators maximize yield with transparency and efficiency. Our team is composed of experienced engineers, researchers, and operators passionate about solving high-impact problems in crypto.

The Role

We’re looking for a strong Senior or Staff Backend Engineer to help scale our systems and build mission-critical infrastructure powering liquid staking, validator yield strategies, and MEV capture. You’ll work closely with a highly experienced, crypto- team to architect and implement performant backend systems with a focus on Golang.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Golang (Rust experience a plus)

• Work on high-performance systems that interact with blockchain networks in real-time

• Help architect and scale core infrastructure for staking, slashing protection, and MEV strategies

• Collaborate with protocol engineers, researchers, and product to ship end-to-end features

• Contribute to technical decisions across the stack, including system architecture and design patterns

What We’re Looking For

• 4–8 years of backend engineering experience, ideally in high-scale or low-latency environments

• Expertise in Golang; bonus points for experience with Rust

• Background in top-tier technical institutions and/or well-regarded tech companies

• Experience at a crypto startup or protocol team

• Familiarity with liquid staking, validator operations, or MEV mechanics is a strong plus

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and systems programming

• Self-directed and comfortable working in a fast-moving, remote environment
