Job summary

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in New York State required.

• Minimum of 7 years insurance defense legal experience.
• Knowledge of area courts.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize duties and time.
• Strong communication, computer and technological skills and the ability to quickly leverage new AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle moderately complex and moderately high exposure litigation.
• Analyze legal and factual issues, conduct extensive research, develop defense strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions and briefs with minimal supervision.
• Provide timely communications and legal advice to clients and claims partners.
