Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years experience as a licensed attorney.
• Master of Laws (LL.M.) can substitute for one year of experience.
• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in Kentucky; maintain licensure.
• Must meet all licensure, certification, or other credentials for length of employment.

Responsibilities

• Represent the agency in complex administrative hearings under KRS Chapter 13B and in court proceedings.
• Perform extensive legal research to prepare briefs, pleadings, and advisory opinions.
• Draft conciliation agreements and letters; report progress to General Counsel.
• Mentor and advise other agency staff; collaborate with agency attorneys on complex issues.
• Process information requests and manage agency records, including archives and open records requests.
