Job summary

Kinaxis, a global leader in supply chain orchestration, seeks a strategic ML forecasting leader to define the forecasting science agenda and translate business goals into measurable ML problems.

You will mentor senior scientists and ML engineers, review designs, and guide evaluations across various forecasting approaches while addressing complex demand scenarios. Collaboration with architects and data teams will be essential to scale forecasting across millions of Series and daily updates.

Responsibilities

• Define the forecasting science agenda and research roadmap.
• Translate complex business goals into clear ML problems and measurable success criteria.
• Provide technical direction and mentor senior scientists and ML engineers.
• Review designs and strengthen scientific judgment across teams.
• Guide evaluation across classical, ML, probabilistic, and pretrained forecasting approaches.
• Address hierarchical, intermittent demand, covariates, cold starts, segmentation, explainability, and domain adaptation.
• Partner with architects, MLOps, and data-infrastructure teams to support millions of series and daily forecasting.
• Communicate scientific trade-offs to technical and executive audiences to build alignment.
