Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Sr. Staff Airworthiness Engineer - Technical Excellence in Melbourne, FL to advance governance, training, and digital strategies in the AWWSC Directorate.

You will support policy development, metrics, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring compliance across airworthiness and cybersecurity programs, with a focus on workforce development and enterprise alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in a STEM field with related experience.
• Experience building plans and certification bases per DoW policy and MIL-HDBK-516.
• Coordination with airworthiness and cybersecurity engineers across disciplines.
• Experience with lifecycle, requirements, hardware and software specs for compliance.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain processes, tools, training, and roadmaps.
• Represent the AWWSC on sector councils.
• Develop and maintain governance, roles, tools, and workforce.
• Counsel on program governance, processes, procedures.
• Develop and maintain metrics for AWWSC, programs, staff.
• Assess, develop, sustain, and conduct training.
• Enterprise / Industry collaboration.
