Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture and long-term direction of AI Runtime infrastructure. You will shape reliability, observability, and efficiency as the fleet scales, and guide multi-node training, data loading, and checkpointing across teams.

You will work with research, product, and customers to decide what to build next, raising engineering excellence and mentoring senior engineers to achieve business impact.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in large-scale distributed systems.
• 40-? remote not relevant
• Hands-on experience with large models and parallelism strategies.
• Expertise in GPU performance, accelerator architecture and interconnects.
• Experience leading multi-tenant cloud platforms as products.
• Ability to align teams on technical trade-offs.
