Google LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for AI/ML Security in Google Cloud. You will architect, implement, and defend model armor and data protection across enterprise environments, guiding teams through complex security challenges and driving strategic initiatives.

The role demands deep expertise in ML security, scalable systems, and cross-functional leadership, with opportunities to influence Google Cloud products and collaborate with executives to secure the generative AI era.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 7 years of leading technical project strategy, ML design, and ML infrastructure experience.
• 5 years with design and architecture, and launching software products.
• 5 years with one or more: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related ML field.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive long-term technical goals and architectural strategy for model armor and sensitive data protection.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, low-latency systems to detect and mitigate threats like prompt injection and data leakage.
• Align security roadmaps across Google Cloud and other product areas, balancing latency and cost.
• Resolve technical disagreements and foster consensus across teams and time zones.
• Mentor staff and executives, evaluating ML security research to raise domain expertise.
