Ironclad is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead architecture and deliver AI-powered contract intelligence at scale. You will build a platform enabling lawyers to scale their business and work across teams to ship high-quality features.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining complex (backend/platform) systems.
• Leadership across teams and a drive towards improving overall technical architecture.
• Passion for software engineering to build and ship great product.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling across a team to improve execution quality and velocity.
• Hands-on experience shipping valuable products to production with real user feedback.
• A high bar for quality and strong cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Technical Lead Architect and owner of Ironclad’s document and record service, driving strategy for reliability, scalability and performance.
• Partner across engineering to unlock new feature capabilities and AI innovation.
• Mentor engineers and cultivate a culture of engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to spec, design and build features.
• Define and maintain testing strategy with Quality Engineers.
• Participate in interviewing and recruiting to grow teams.
• Work with stack: TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Temporal, Docker in Kubernetes on GCP.
• Build and apply AI tools to power contract intelligence.
