In this role, you will support the month-end close cycle, maintain fixed assets, and ensure compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting, advanced Excel skills, and 5-7 years of accounting experience. The position allows for hybrid work on Mondays and Fridays, offering a salary range of $52,000-$98,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 – 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and utilize computer.

Responsibilities

• Participate and support the full month end close cycle.
• Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger and record monthly entries.
• Manage bank accounts and perform monthly cash management activities.
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets & cash flows.
• Collaborate across the Shields network to gather financial information.

Skills

Advanced Excel skills (vlookups/pivot tables/nested formulas)

Exceptional problem solving/analytical skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong knowledge of GAAP

Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA a plus)

Tools

Accounting software systems (knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus)
