Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting and financial reporting. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful cash flow analysis to support our organization's financial health.

Duties

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger accounting and financial accounting tasks.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to provide insights into the organization’s financial position.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and an ERP system
• Collaborate with other departments to support finance initiatives and provide financial guidance.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards where applicable.

Experience

• Proven experience in general ledger accounting, financial accounting, or as an accounting clerk.
• Proven experience with ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance principles as well as governmental accounting practices.
• Demonstrated ability in cash flow analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.
• A degree in Accounting or Finance is REQUIRED; relevant certifications (e.g., CPA) are advantageous.
