We are hiring a Sr Staff Accountant to join our Enterprise Shared Services Finance Team. As a Sr. Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for general ledger accountability, account reconciliation, and assisting management in developing strong internal controls and policies and procedures.

The ideal Senior Accountant has outstanding critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail. Our company culture offers opportunities to work closely with leadership, collaborate cross functionally, work independently and be part of a dedicated team.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Journal entry preparation based on detailed information obtained from various departments as part of the monthly close process. Journal entries may include, but are not limited to, revenue recognition, funding, fixed and intangible assets and related depreciation and amortization, and prepaid and/or accrued expenses.
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, account analysis, and workpapers for specific general ledger accounts to ensure revenues and expenses are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis, and that assets and liabilities are accurately reflected as of each period end.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • A minimum if four years of professional experience in an accounting capacity. CPA preferred.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time and work management skills; ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple competing deliverables.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.
