Job summary

Sayva Solutions is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in a newly created role supporting a complex multi-entity environment. You will oversee revenue, COGS, cash, AR/AP, reconciliations, and financial reporting, partnering with finance and operations to improve processes and accelerate the close.

The position offers a salary range of $85,000–$115,000 and exposure to automation and technology-driven improvements across the accounting function, with strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting foundation preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Experience across multiple balance sheet accounts and multi-entity environment.
• Excel skills and ERP experience; Dynamics 365 BC is a plus.
• CPA or progress toward certification is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
• Independently manage responsibilities in a collaborative, deadline-driven team.
• Interest in process improvements, automation, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for entities in a complex multi-entity environment covering revenue, COGS, cash, AR/AP, and reserves.
• Support month-end close with journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and P&L analysis.
• Prepare recurring management reporting and variance analysis.
• Complete bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and manage cash activity.
• Prepare and file applicable sales tax filings for entities.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, and operations to address accounting questions.
• Assist with financial statement prep, inventory/cost analysis, audits, and GL initiatives.
• Contribute to accounting process improvements and close automation initiatives.
• Identify and leverage ERP functionality and automation to improve efficiency.

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a privately held, growing organization seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a newly created position supporting a complex multi-entity environment and offers broad exposure across the balance sheet, including revenue, COGS, cash, AR/AP activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys taking ownership of their work while partnering closely with both finance and operational teams. The organization is currently focused on enhancing its accounting processes, accelerating the month-end close, improving reporting, and making better use of technology and automation. The Senior Staff Accountant will have an opportunity to contribute ideas and play a meaningful role in those improvements.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for assigned entities within a complex, multi-entity environment, with responsibility across areas such as revenue, COGS, cash, receivables, payables, and bad debt reserves.
• Support the month-end close process through preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and detailed P&L analysis.
• Prepare recurring management reporting and analyze budget-to-actual results, researching and explaining significant variances.
• Complete bank and cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve items related to bank activity, fees, cleared checks, and cash balances.
• Prepare and submit applicable sales tax filings for assigned entities.
• Partner with AP, AR, accounting colleagues, and operational leaders to address accounting questions and develop a strong understanding of the businesses supported.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, inventory and cost analysis, external audit requests, and other general ledger initiatives.
• Contribute to accounting process improvements designed to create a more efficient close and strengthen financial reporting.
• Help identify opportunities to leverage ERP functionality, automation, and emerging technology to streamline accounting processes while maintaining accurate and auditable financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience; candidates with a public accounting foundation preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles, including journal entries, debits and credits, balance sheet reconciliations, cash balancing, and month-end close.
• Experience working across multiple balance sheet accounts rather than specializing in a limited area of the general ledger.
• Previous experience supporting a multi-entity accounting environment.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is a plus.
• CPA or progress toward certification is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with accounting, finance, and operational stakeholders.
• Comfortable independently managing responsibilities while contributing within a collaborative, deadline-driven team.
• Adaptable and able to operate effectively in a changing, complex accounting environment.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, AI, and other technologies that can improve accounting efficiency is a plus.
