Job summary

Passero Associates in the United States is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The role supports general ledger accounting, monthly and annual close processes, reconciliations, financial analysis, and internal controls, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

You will prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, close assistance, and management reporting, while collaborating with project managers and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting, preferably in audit and assurance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a limited number of monthly client invoices and coordinate with Project Managers as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiencies, streamline processes, and leverage technology.

Job description

Passero Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the company's accounting and financial reporting functions, including general ledger accounting, monthly and annual close processes, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing to the ongoing success of the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
