Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Seattle is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead close processes, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and strengthen internal controls within the Accounting and Shared Services team. You will partner with the Controller and VP of Finance, oversee fixed assets, leases, intercompany transactions, and collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 10+ years of experience, CPA preferred, and a

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Typically 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience as Assistant Controller or similar leadership role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly and annual close processes with timely, GAAP-compliant reporting.
Review journals, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy.
Analyze results, investigate variances, and report findings to leadership.
Oversee general ledger, fixed assets, leases, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
Partner with Finance and operations on budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
