Job summary

Alliance Resource Group is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our finance team in California. This role focuses on balance sheet, revenue, and expense reconciliations, with emphasis on transaction-level analysis to ensure accurate financial statements.

Responsibilities include supporting monthly close, preparing journal entries, and reconciling GL accounts, while collaborating across the finance team to identify discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years’ experience in general accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.

• Prepare journal entries for assigned accounting transactions.
• Prepare reconciliations for assigned GL accounts to verify the accuracy of data.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accuracy of financials during each close cycle.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the management’s attention.
• Assist with the quarterly review and annual audit requests.
• Other projects and duties as required.
