Job description

General Responsibilities

TheSenior Staff Accountantis responsible for preparing journal entries, assembling supporting documentation, tracking account contents, and assisting in the creation of financial statements and reporting packages underIFRS and GAAP. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare inter-company transactions, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Enter journal entries intoSage 300accounting software, including recurring and reversing entries.
  • Perform monthly billing reconciliations of contractual expenses across multiple airport locations.
  • Complete monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Consolidate and input expense reports for payroll processing.
  • Assist in the preparation ofmonth-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements.
  • Support the preparation offorecasts and annual budgetsfor the balance sheet, cash flow, and income statement.
  • Assist in preparation of sales and use tax returns.
  • Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests and support special projects.
  • Assist withexternal audit workpaper submittalsas required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding ofGAAPand general ledger accounting.
  • Exceptional technical skills inMicrosoft Excel.
  • Minimum of 3 yearsof general ledger accounting experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience withSage 300accounting software is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • CPA certification preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability tosit, stand, and walk for extended periodsduring daily activities.
  • Occasionally required toclimb, lift, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Frequent use of acomputer and standard office equipment.

Work Environment

  • Regular use of a computer, phone, and other standard office tools.
  • Normal working hours:Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM(Remote work on Fridays).
  • Overtime expectedduring peak periods such as quarter-end close and budgeting.
