The role emphasizes integrating data from SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, CSV/Excel files, and SFTP locations; plus performance tuning, error handling, and L2/L3 production support, while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 7–9 years of IT experience with SSIS and SQL Server.
• Hands-on ETL development and data migration.
• Strong T-SQL, procedures, views, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SSIS components: Data Flow, Lookup, Merge, Script Task.
• Experience with logging, exception handling, audit controls, and restart mechanisms.
• Experience with production support and incident management.
• Collaborates with DBAs and business stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages for enterprise ETL and data integration.
• Develop ETL solutions to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
• Support and enhance existing SSIS interfaces and integrations.
• Troubleshoot SSIS package failures, data issues, and production incidents.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database objects.
• Integrate data from SQL Server, Oracle, flat files, CSV/Excel files, and SFTP locations.
• Implement error handling, logging, auditing, notifications, and restart/recovery mechanisms.
• Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs using SQL Server Agent.
• Perform SSIS package and SQL query performance tuning for high-volume data processing.
• Conduct impact analysis, effort estimation, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Support deployments across development, UAT, and production environments.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, root-cause analysis, and permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with functional teams, application teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when required.
