Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to advance the architecture and scalability of its production services across data centers and AWS. Qualifications

• 7+ years of troubleshooting and tuning across systems, networks, and cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tooling.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in 24x7, multi-site production infrastructure operations including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Root-cause complex problems involving network, hardware and software related to scaling and performance.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, capacity planning and reporting in production.
• Contribute to design and architecture of reliable, scalable infrastructure.
• Be first line of defense during working hours for alerts or incidents.
• Collaborate with product engineering to meet Operations standards and plan resource impacts for deployments.
• Participate in on-call rotation and handle escalated issues as needed.
