Job summary

Harris in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Senior Software Engineer to solve complex SQL Server data and performance challenges, with occasional C#/.NET and React work. You will own data problems, investigate independently, and drive work to completion in an Agile environment.

The role requires 7+ years of T-SQL experience in production SQL Server, 3+ years of C#, and 1+ year in .NET 6+ with Azure DevOps. Travel to the corporate office may be required. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS or CIS or related field or equivalent job-related experience.
• 7+ years of primarily T-SQL focused experience in production SQL Server environments.
• 3+ years of C# experience, with ability to modify applications/services/APIs interacting with SQL Server.
• 1+ years .NET 6+ or later.
• 1+ years in an Agile environment.
• 1+ years Azure Dev Ops using Git.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to assist coding or review is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve complex stored procedures that build warehouse tables.
• Optimize database performance for very large datasets using indexing, tuning, and partitioning.
• Maintain SQL Server Agent jobs including scheduling, failure analysis and performance impact.
• Understand data usage across Gridline products and identify upstream impacts.
• Analyze telematics data using SQL and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain and evolve web, console, and API-based solutions.
• Write software to integrate data from external APIs/sources.
