Job summary

Michigan Center for Educational Performance and Information (CEPI) seeks a Senior SQL Server/Azure Data Engineer to support the data warehouse, oversee ETL processes from on-premise to cloud, and ensure robust data architecture with security and performance tuning.

The role requires extensive SQL Server expertise, T-SQL, ETL development, and experience with Azure DevOps and Scrum. Onsite two days per week in Lansing, hybrid schedule with no remote-only option.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server and data warehouse design.
• Proficient in ETL development and data integration.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Strong skills in data modeling and SQL scripting.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and maintains data pipelines (ETL) from on-premise to cloud.
• Defines and enforces data architecture and security for the data warehouse.
• Collaborates with developers and analysts to deliver high-quality data assets.
• Performs performance tuning and database maintenance; ensures data integrity.
