Job summary

Inserso seeks a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and troubleshoot SQL-based data pipelines supporting mission-critical DevSecOps operations for the Air Force Reserve Command at Robins AFB. This role focuses on production pipelines, not reporting, with ownership of performance, reliability, and scalability across NIPR/SIPR using SQL Server, C#/.NET microservices, and scheduling frameworks.

You will work with a team to optimize ETL/ELT processes, implement data warehousing

Qualifications

US citizen is required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
Must meet DoD 8140 compliance with required certification (e.g., Security+). If not currently held, must obtain before agreed date.
Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain one.
7+ years of software/data engineering with .NET/C# focus.
Deep SQL Server understanding and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain end-to-end production data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for large datasets.
Write and optimize complex SQL, including stored procedures, CTEs, and window functions.
Design and maintain SQL Server databases, including procedures, triggers, and views.
Diagnose data inconsistencies and bottlenecks in production environments.
Implement data warehousing strategies and incremental load patterns.
Ensure database security across NIPR/SIPR environments.
