Job summary

GreenXT is seeking an experienced SQL Developer to provide RCOH SQL support for SUPSHIP Newport News, supporting legacy Access databases and SQL Server environments. You will administer SQL Server databases, convert Access SQL statements to SQL Server syntax, design GUI forms in Access, and assist with security and cybersecurity compliance alongside the ATO process.

A DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor's degree, and 10+ years in a multifunctional team, plus Security+ and SQL Server certifications,

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience working as a member of a multifunctional team.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server 12.0+ and Access databases; working knowledge of version control systems.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability to design forms (GUI) and debug VBA in Access.
• Must possess Security+ or equivalent certification; SQL Server certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, develop, and troubleshoot issues/bugs in existing Access applications and vintage Microsoft Access "accdb" databases.
• Maintain and administer SQL Server databases, including backups, tuning, security, and managing user accounts.
• Design, develop, repair, and optimize SQL database-driven applications while ensuring data integrity and cybersecurity requirements.
• Work closely with Contracting Officers, Planning Manager(s), and application users to ensure required functionality, evaluate software solutions, and develop new features.
• Convert Access SQL statements into SQL Server syntax, design GUI forms in Access, and debug code using VBA.
• Improve security features of Access applications and assist SUPSHIP with the Authority to Operate (ATO) process when necessary.
• Incorporate software versioning and utilize version control systems for existing applications.
