Job summary

Ledgent Technology in Riverside, CA is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join a large enterprise IT team. Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of SQL Server DBA experience in a large enterprise.
• Expert-level experience administering Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Strong experience with SQL Server clustering and high availability.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Extensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery knowledge.
• Experience patching, upgrading, and lifecycle management of SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server environments supporting SQL Server.
• Experience with data warehouse environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database and application performance issues.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure and application teams.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise SQL Server environments (clustered and standalone).
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize performance daily.
• Support and maintain clustering and high availability for mission-critical systems.
• Perform backups, restoration testing, and DR planning.
• Schedule and execute patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Monitor health, storage, and availability across large footprint.
• Troubleshoot production issues with infra, network, and apps teams.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting.
• Support data warehouse environments and perform tuning.
• Develop and maintain DB configurations and DR procedures.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability.
