Job summary

Input 1 is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to be the technical authority for database administration and engineering. The role focuses on reliability, performance, security, scalability, and recoverability of an enterprise database environment.

Reporting to the CIO, the position offers autonomy to identify risks, set standards, and lead database initiatives while collaborating with DevOps, engineering, QA, and product teams to align solutions with business needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise in database design, performance tuning, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise-level SQL Server environments.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SQL Server instances and related systems.
• Lead root cause analysis of database incidents and implement preventative solutions.
• Oversee backup strategies, verification processes, and disaster recovery testing.
• Monitor database performance, storage, and log growth across environments.
• Implement and maintain security controls, including access, encryption, and auditing.
