Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC is seeking an experienced data and applications specialist to support electric distribution and transmission systems. You will troubleshoot complex database and application issues, collaborate with engineering and field teams, and drive data integration across GIS, outage management, AMI, and asset management platforms.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 8–11 years of experience, strong PL/SQL and SQL database architecture, plus Power BI development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with 8–11 years of experience in utilities data.
• Strong PL/SQL programming and SQL database architecture experience.
• Data modeling, Power BI development, and 5+ years in Electric Distribution or Electric Transmission data.

Responsibilities

• Communicates technical support solutions to internal users by troubleshooting computer applications, hardware, and system issues.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for various applications using GIT version control.
• Design and implement SQL database architectures.
• Model and manage customer specific data for Electronic Distribution or Electric Transmission systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from GIS, Outage Management Systems, AMI, Work Management, and Asset Management Systems.
• Analyze and optimize database performance.
• Understand, Interpret and Utilize data from Utilities related to GIS, Outage Management Systems, AMI, Work Management, Asset Management and Inspection Data.
• Leadership and mentoring skills with junior team members.
