Job summary

Mars invites applications for a Supplier Quality Assurance Technologist to ensure fit-for-purpose raw materials for regional manufacturing. The role drives supplier improvement, quality, food safety, and compliance while collaborating with Commercial Buying, R&D and Packaging teams.

You will perform supplier site audits, manage risk, and lead performance metrics. Travel up to 75% helps maintain supply conformance across sites in the region.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Assures quality and consistency of raw and/or packaging material supply within the region.
• Creates material risk assessments and supplier improvement plans
• Works with Commercial Buying Team and Site-based Quality Services on inbound material cost, quality, safety and efficiency improvements
• Manages inbound supply risks including material security, quality, safety and regulatory compliance
• Performs supplier site audits and ensures corrective actions are completed
• Communicates with internal customers in Commercial, R&D and Supply
• Performs supplier performance reviews and manages supplier metrics
