Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Sports Psychology or related field.
• Registered Psychologist with SA or equivalent international registration.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical experience with athletes and sports teams.
• Experience delivering interventions for performance and mental health.
• Proficiency with teleconferencing/online counseling.
• Knowledge of ethical guidelines and professional standards in sports psychology.
• Ability to work independently with a diverse client caseload.
• Experience in or knowledge of Eastern Cape, ZA region is beneficial.

Requirements

• A Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Sports Psychology or Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Sports Psychology.


• Registered as a Psychologist with the relevant professional body in South Africa or equivalent international registration.


• Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience working with athletes and sports teams.


• Proven experience in delivering psychological interventions for performance enhancement and mental health.


• Strong understanding of psychometric assessment tools and their application in sports.


• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.


• Proficiency in using teleconferencing and online counseling platforms for remote service delivery.


• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse client caseload.
