Job summary

NorthEast Sportsfield-Rec, a division of Landscaping By J. Michael, is seeking an experienced Construction Sports Field Technician in Marshfield, MA to lead on-site field projects.

You'll plan daily work, read drawings, supervise crews, ensure safety, and coordinate with general contractors. Strong background in natural field construction and equipment operation is required; willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2-year turf/horticulture degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in sports field construction.
• Experience with natural field construction, fences, backstops, layout, dugouts, bleachers, and concrete work.
• Ability to read drawings, grading plans, elevations; strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; hydraulic license or ability to obtain within 60 days; CDL preferred; OSHA 10/30 for public works.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute sports field construction projects on site.
• Plan daily/weekly work schedules; ensure work aligns with specs.
• Supervise laborers, provide direction, track hours, and complete reports.
• Maintain on-site safety and compliance; coordinate with GC, superintendents, PMs.
• Attend weekly meetings and conduct regular safety meetings with crew.
