JOB TITLE: Senior Product Development Manager: Golf Equipment

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product innovation and development

  • Work with the Chief Operating Officer to build innovative golf equipment assortments focused on high-volume key items that meet retail, consumer, and financial goals.
  • Lead development of inline and special make-up product assortments under Spalding, in-house brands, and private labels.
  • Maintain open communication across all aspects of product development.
  • Collaborate with sales to meet customer objectives and drive revenue.
  • Ensure rapid market delivery by integrating analysis, trends, retailer needs, consumer insights, and financial targets.
  • Adhere to internal development processes, ensuring documentation and deadlines are met.
  • Lead material and process innovation to keep SACP at the forefront of industry trends, balancing innovation with cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with back office and customer service teams for seamless style creation and training.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support sales and customer visits.

Sourcing

  • Develop strong, trustworthy relationships with top factory partners.
  • Lead cost negotiations and reduction efforts with data-driven, respectful approaches.
  • Work with engineering, QC, customer service, factories, and testing facilities to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Travel as needed to manufacturing facilities in the US and Asia.

Design, Marketing, and Tradeshows

  • Partner with marketing and design teams to enhance brand presence through product branding, packaging, POS, events, catalogs, and videos.
  • Participate in and set up key trade shows to showcase products.
  • Attend industry events to stay industry-informed and competitive.
