Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority seeks a Senior Splunk Engineer to join our Austin-based team with a hybrid schedule. You will lead the operation and optimization of a Splunk system supporting critical infrastructure, ensuring alignment with NERC-CIP standards and security best practices.

You’ll implement Splunk solutions, monitor health, apply security patches, and collaborate with IT and Cyber Security teams to enhance performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in a technical field, computer science, engineering or network systems.
• A degree(s) in computer science, information technology, telecommunications, engineering, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Successfully implement and manage Splunk solutions to maintain a flawless compliance system.
• Regularly perform security evaluation and implement security patches if applicable.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to determine the guidelines for system operations.
• Develop and complete strategies to improve system performance, security and reliability.
• Research and coordinate with Cyber Security team to evaluate and onboard new policies to help improve the system security posture.
• Daily monitor system health and resolve issue in a timely manner.
