Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Splunk Administrator / Technology Engineer to support enterprise monitoring, observability, and operational excellence initiatives. The role emphasizes Splunk Administration, onboarding customers, data source integration, troubleshooting, and maintaining health and performance of the Splunk environment.

You will design and implement technology solutions across infrastructure, data, and cloud environments, with strong Python scripting and OpenTelemetry experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Splunk Administration and operations.
• Experience onboarding customers and integrating enterprise data sources into Splunk.
• Troubleshooting Splunk infrastructure, ingestion, indexing, and search performance.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and enterprise log management.
• Knowledge of systems, storage, networking, middleware, security, and cloud environments.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Splunk platform for high availability and performance.
• Onboard new customers and integrate data sources into the Splunk ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot Splunk ingestion, indexing, and search issues; manage dashboards and alerts.
• Develop Python-based automation for administration, monitoring, and reporting.
• Support observability initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
• Participate in OpenTelemetry deployment and rollout initiatives.
