Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Splunk Administrator to design, implement, and maintain a hardened Splunk environment on RHEL 8 for the DISA Defense Red Switch Network supporting an enterprise VoIP management system. You will manage forwarders, indexers, search heads, and deployment servers while ensuring security and scalability.

The ideal candidate has a DoD TS/SCI clearance, 12+ years in related roles, and 5+ years of distributed Splunk experience.

Qualifications

• DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• 12+ years in system administration/cybersecurity-focused roles.
• 5+ years administering Splunk in distributed deployments and related architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Splunk environments (forwarders, indexers, search heads, deployment servers).
• Install, configure, and integrate Splunk on RHEL 8 with security and scalability in mind.
• Harden Splunk on RHEL 8 to meet security standards.
• Integrate Splunk with RSA for authentication/authorization.
• Monitor health, performance, and capacity; perform routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot data ingestion, search issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain documentation (architecture diagrams, installation guides, troubleshooting procedures).
• Collaborate with security, network, and system admins to ensure seamless integration.
