Job summary

River Valley Healthcare in California seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care and lead interdisciplinary collaboration. You will evaluate and treat patients, document outcomes, and coach family and nursing staff on follow-through.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, California SLP license or eligibility, and CCC. 2–3 years’ rehab experience in SNF environments is preferred. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered along with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• California license or eligibility to practice as an SLP.
• CPR certification and CCC are preferred/required where indicated.
• 2–3 years of rehab experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing outcomes.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans with physician approvals.
• Document services in medical records and ensure accurate coding.
• Educate patients' families and nursing staff on treatment plans and follow-up.
• Communicate progress with the interdisciplinary team and supervisors.
• Supervise Clinical Fellows and other SLPs during patient care.
