Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado Springs seeks a seasoned space operations analyst to support a government and contractor team in developing concepts of operations and notional system architectures for live, virtual, and constructive training, exercises, and experiments.

You will use STK and MBSE tools to model space operations, perform performance benchmarks, and contribute to tactics, techniques, and procedures for DoD missions; you will present findings to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or graduate degree with 4+ years.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Strong knowledge of space operations, orbital mechanics, and Space Domain Awareness.
  • Advanced knowledge of STK, MBSE, and SysML; familiarity with SDCCS or Iron Stallion is beneficial.
  • Experience with wargame model development and integrating real-world data into hypothetical analysis; developing courses of action for operational maneuvers.

  • Support a high-performing Government and Contractor team in developing a concept of operations and notional system architecture for future live, virtual, and constructive training, exercises, and experiments
  • Use Systems Tool Kit (STK) and other simulation tools to support space operations, current and future operations, and training at the National Space Defense Center
  • Develop modeling and simulation products for live, virtual, and constructive training and NSDC Advanced Concept Experimentation
  • Model real-world engagements, training events, and mission planning operations
  • Support development of tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Provide a foundation for future requirements development of common operating picture tools
  • Participate in exercises and government-driven events to derive performance benchmarks and technical utility
  • Generate, share, and present briefings and products for senior leadership and enterprise awareness
  • Perform additional assigned duties and responsibilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Alternatively, graduate degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience
  • Alternatively, minimum 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility
  • Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph
  • Strong knowledge of space operations, orbital mechanics, and Space Domain Awareness
  • Advanced knowledge of Systems Tool Kit (STK), Model Based Systems Engineering software (MBSE), and Systems Modeling software (SysML)
  • Knowledge of Space Domain Command and Control System (SDCCS) or Iron Stallion (IS) beneficial
  • Experience with wargame model development and integrating real-world data into hypothetical analysis
  • Experience developing courses of action for operational maneuvers and applying analysis of alternatives in operations planning and what-if drills
  • Broad knowledge of DoD, national assets, and adversary space systems
