Job Description

L3Harris is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to support the development of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) products used globally to protect soldiers and diplomats. The role involves working through the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, and system validation.

Essential Functions

• Lead or participate in software development for communication and radio systems
• Manage customer interactions and deliver presentations
• Lead and understand diverse personality types with a composed demeanor
• Collaborate with system and test engineers throughout development
• Develop and test object-oriented software in C/C++ and Python
• Perform hardware/software integration and unit testing
• Apply design patterns and embedded Linux development practices
• Utilize DevOps/DevSecOps practices
• Document design and participate in reviews
• Analyze data to identify root causes and trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field, with 4-6 years experience, or equivalent experience
• 4-8 years of professional C++ development experience
• Secret or Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills

• US Citizenship required for security clearance
