Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Sales Engineering to lead technical demonstrations and pre/post-sales support for SOCOM customers. The role requires strong collaboration with account managers and the ability to translate customer needs into effective equipment solutions.

Travel up to 50% is expected, with a requirement to obtain a US Secret security clearance. A bachelor’s degree with relevant experience is required; advanced degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years prior communication planning, operation or installation experience.
• Graduate degree with 4 years prior experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Job Description:

The Sales Engineer will work directly with SOCOM Sales Team, providing equipment demonstrations, technical support, and pre/post-sales support for customers. Responsible for determining customer communications equipment requirements, recommending solutions, and providing complete accurate bill of material to meet those solutions.

Essential Functions:

• Working with account managers to support successful technical demonstrations, trials, and exercises.
• Providing input during the evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the account manager as an equipment technical advisor.
• Understanding customer requirements and use-cases for product applications and recommending equipment solutions that will meet those requirements.
• Understanding the features of L3Harris products and conveying how those features benefit individual and unique customers.
• Works with internal and external stake holders in a collaborative way to deliver technical based solutions in support customer requirements.
• Providing pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support for L3Harris products to customers, to include operation, limited maintenance, and technical support.
• Providing training to customers on L3Harris products.
• Ability to travel at least 50%.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C.area, Denver, or NYC areas is$96,500 - $179,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is$86,500- $160,500. T this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
