Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to develop and implement work plans for the project management team, assign projects, and monitor schedules.

You will manage short-term implementation projects and coordinate with customers, installers, and the supply chain to ensure solutions are fully implemented and ready for live use. Responsibilities include creating daily and reconciliation reports for multiple teams and stakeholders, identifying risks, and guiding contingency

Qualifications

Job description

Develops, implements, and updates a work plan for the project management team including assignment of projects and establishment of and monitoring of schedules.

Manages short-term implementation projects.

Works with customers to plan and control project deliverables, manages installers, and coordinates with supply chain to ensure the solution is fully implemented according to the sales specification and ready for live customer usage.

Creates and delivers daily reports, as well as project reconciliation reports for the sales team, operations team, customers, and installation partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uses established project management methodology to facilitate project planning including defining the project scope, goals, and deliverables, project tasks and resource requirements, and project plan and timelines for large or complex projects
• Creates long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and significant deadlines
• Recommends resources for projects, including specific internal team members and consulting partners who can augment the internal team’s experience/expertise
• Delegates tasks on the project to team members best positioned to complete them
• Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools and adhering to project methodology and reports progress to stakeholders; tracks progress and adherence to the budget and schedule, making adjustments as needed
• Works with the team to identify potential risks, determine ways to mitigate risk, and develop and document contingency plans accordingly
• Makes effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Serves as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
• Performs quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
