The Senior Specialist, Programmatic candidate is passionate about programmatic advertising and has a desire to help architect the future of how Involved Media plans and buys digital media in an ever-changing programmatic landscape. As a Senior Specialist, you will work closely with the Programmatic leadership team to expand AMS’s programmatic solutions while creating best practices. Senior Specialist will be responsible for strategic planning, measurement, optimization, scaling, and troubleshooting programmatic campaigns. The Senior Specialist will also help coach team members and provide thought leadership to both team members and clients alike.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programmatic media buying. Analytical skills will be crucial in monitoring and analyzing campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance results, and generating insightful reports. In addition to technical expertise, strong communication and client management skills are essential for this role. The Senior Specialist will collaborate closely with account managers and clients to understand their campaign objectives and goals, ensuring that strategies align with their needs. Effective negotiations with media vendors, publishers, and technology partners will be part of the daily routine.

Most importantly, the Senior Specialist must be passionate about scaling new and existing client portfolio, developing and implementing sophisticated cross tactic strategies and test and learn scenarios inclusive of audience segmentation. Responsibilities
  • Take day-to-day ownership of all aspects of assigned accounts. This role is hands-on execution
  • Maintain accountability for the overall health, support, and growth of AMS’s programmatic clients - ensuring team operations, deliverables, and financials are commensurate with client expectations
  • Display understanding of client goals and performance to develop successful strategies (with the guidance of Supervisor & Director) to exceed campaign expectations
  • Accurately launch campaigns in multiple systems, ensuring ad tags, tactics, creative, and measurement solutions are implemented as expected and follow best practices
  • Analyze and organize data into actionable insights and learnings
  • Polished strategy presentation – an understanding of how to present insights and optimization recommendations while considering marketing/business challenges the clients maybe facing
  • Assist with new business proposals
  • Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosities
  • Assist in the growth of junior team members, identifying technical and career development opportunities, being a sounding board for questions and mentor to share addressable media experiences and applications
  • Lead regular training sessions (both formal or informal) to present and learn new strategies or platform features that may improve results or drive incremental business

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications. Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of 4+ years of relative programmatic buying experience in, but not limited to, strategic planning, client management, data analysis, execution, and leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Expertise in one or multiple of the following platforms required: The Trade Desk, DV360, Xandr, Amazon, Verizon
    • Proficiency working in the following tools required: Moat, IAS, Double Verify, DCM, DFP, Flashtalking
  • Proficiency in advanced level Microsoft Excel (pivot tables), Word and PowerPoint required
  • High proficiency in cross tactic approach, DOOH, CTV/OTT, Display, Native, etc. required
  • Understanding of broader media planning and buying – to ensure integration / coordination with wider media objectives occur, a must-have
  • Proficient knowledge of both the buy and sell side of the programmatic ecosystem, inclusive of DSPs, SSPs, and Publisher Side - Ad Servers, required
  • Process oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Time & project management skills are critical
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills, both internally and externally, are essential
  • Agency or marketing experience is strongly preferred

Travel

This position requires regularly scheduled travel, up to 10% of the time.
