Job summary

BNY Mellon in New York City seeks a Senior Specialist, Data & AI Governance to lead data risk management and oversee Data Quality Controls and issue management across the enterprise.

You will partner with Data Leaders, Divisional Officers, and stakeholders to monitor data quality, act as 1LOD for data quality issues, and collaborate with 2LOD and Internal Audit to document remediation efforts and evidence in the enterprise tracking system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3-5 years total work experience; Financial Services preferred.
• Experience with control and issues management in a regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical skills to review Data Quality Controls and remediation plans.
• Familiarity with Data Lineage and Issue Management tools.
• Experience using AI tools to automate regulatory and controls processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong business writing skills for issue documentation.

Responsibilities

We're seeking a future team member for the role of SENIOR SPECIALIST, DATA & AI GOVERNANCE to join our DATA SOLUTIONS AND SERVICE team. This role is located in NEW YORK CITY.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Be a leader managing Data Risk by supporting the Data Quality (DQ) Controls and Issue Management process for the bank
