Job summary

A defense technology company based in California, MD is seeking a Senior Special & Tactical Operations SME to support advanced modeling and training activities. The ideal candidate will apply deep military expertise and work with simulation tools to enhance mission realism. Responsibilities include designing complex scenarios and providing subject matter expertise on military operations. A Bachelor's degree with significant experience and U.S. citizenship are required. This full-time role does not allow for remote work.

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelor's; 13+ years with Master's; or 19+ years with High School Diploma.
• Operational, tactical, training, or test experience with military platforms and systems.
• Current or Active DoD Secret clearance, ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, execute, and debrief complex mission scenarios.
• Operate simulation cockpits/consoles for real-world platform capabilities.
• Provide subject matter expertise on threat and friendly TTPs.

Skills

Operational experience with military platforms

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work morning/evening shifts

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field with 15+ years experience

Master's degree with 13+ years experience

High School Diploma with 19+ years experience

Tools

Simulation tools (GRID, NGTS, DIADS, etc.)
