Job summary

Horizon Strategies LLC in Tampa, FL is seeking a Special Operations Planner to apply SOF expertise to USCENTCOM plans, orders, concepts of operations, and current operations. The role involves synchronization across joint, multinational, and interagency partners.

You will develop plans, orders, CONOPs, and coordinate SOF activities with CCJ3, interagency partners, and DoD components; ensure compliance with security and records requirements; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in the Special Operations Enterprise.
• At least 3 years of experience at a Joint or Combined Command headquarters.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Common Access Card eligibility and Information Assurance training before network access.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, orders, and CONOPs and align Special Operations support with the USCENTCOM mission and Commander’s priorities within CCJ3.
• Coordinate and synchronize the full spectrum of special operations in joint, multinational, and interagency contexts.
• Advise on the employment and utilization of Special Operations Forces using knowledge of SOF core missions.
• Analyze and synchronize planning and execution across DoD, interagency, allied, coalition, and multinational special operations activities in the USCENTCOM AOR.
• Provide Special Operations and Irregular Warfare expertise for current operations and other special activities requirements.
• Coordinate FOIA requests and MDRs for designated CCJ5 files.
• Safeguard classified and unclassified Government information, property, controlled forms, facilities, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain Government records separately from company records and comply with applicable federal records, FOIA, Privacy Act, DoD, and USCENTCOM requirements.
