Job summary

ADAPT Community Network in New York seeks a Mentor Teacher to support high-quality instruction for students in Special Education and UPK programs. You will plan and implement individualized instruction, ensure regulatory compliance, and cultivate an inclusive, developmentally appropriate classroom.

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and adapt daily lessons and classroom activities based on students' development and IEPs.
• Develop short- and long-term instructional goals and evaluate student progress.
• Participate in student evaluations, intake assessments, and transition planning processes.
• Develop educational reports including annual reviews and progress reports.
• Lead professional development and mentor teachers and assistants.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design differentiated instruction and supports.
